What a Beautiful Weekend....

It was absolutley Beautiful and we had a wonderful day!

There was so much for the kids to do and the gardens were wonderful.

It was a perfect day!

Scrap Studio Update...

Still waiting for My dear husband to

install the recessed lighting so that we (hee, hee, heee..)

I mean my dear husband can drywall.

Trust me when I was preparing for my last class and

couldn't find half of my things I let him know!

Half of our master bedroom is now my scrap space,

some of my stuff is down in our storage area which is now taken

over by my son's bedroom furniture so the basement

can be finished and some of my scrap stuff is in the office.

Very Frustrating when I am preparing for classes!!!

Hopefully I will be able to give a positive scrap studio update soon!!!

First pictures of the scrapbook room in progress

OK, so I know the cabinets are really dated! But when I am done you will be very suprised!!! I have decided to go with the shabby chic look! The rest of my house is Kind of Tuscan Style. So this will be my getaway girlie retreat! I am so excited. So the next step is my husband needs to put in the light boxes and move a couple of the outlets. We just put the cabinets in and moved them around to see which way they will work best. Once the light boxes are in and the outlets are moved drywall will be able to go up!! I already started working on painting the cabinets but it is a secret for now! I will share later. The second picture is of a cabinet that I have two of and the will become an island.

Needless to say I am so EXCITED!!!

Fathers Day Weekend...

I hope that everyone was able to spend some time with there fathers on Sunday. It was beautiful day out and I barbequed for my father and husband while they lounged in the pool all day! It was a beautiful day out and they actually got to relax which is something that neither of them do hardly ever. It was a great time for all!

House Warming Gift

I had a dilemma.....I have a good friend that moved into a new house and she is also a scrap booker and of course I wanted to make her something special for her new home. I could not think of anything! I was browsing some of my favorite blogs last week and I found it!!!

Tammy Tutterow had the perfect idea! She actually made one using a picture of her own home (which is adorable) using Pink Paislee Papers and I LOVED IT! So with that idea in my head I made my friend one using a picture of her own home!

Learning to swim...

Finally Brendan is ready to learn to swim and is conquering his fears.

His cousin Andy was awesome in helping him to learn.

And of course Mom is there with camera in hand

taking plenty of pictures!

don't forget to keep checking back for updates. Hopefully we will begin very soon. (for my husbands sake) We have been finishing my older son Tom's room in the basement so all of my scrapbook stuff is all over. Some in the office, master bedroom and storage. I just got a ton of used cabinets that will be perfect for my scraproom. They came from a kitchen and there is even a desk. (WOOHOO) I am not sure if I want to redo the cabinets shabby chic or stain them a rich dark color. I have searched Two peas many times looking for ideas. Guess what I went to see this weekend....

SEX AND THE CITY..... Oh my goodness! This was the most I have laughed in a loooong time! I went with two of my sister in laws and it was great! A little embarrassing at moments. (Future reference....don't go with family members unless you are very close...like really close...like as close as best girlfriends) Anyway it was such a good time! I would pay to see it again! So grab your best girlfriends and go see it! Don't worry if you never watched it on TV they do a little dialog in the beginning to help you out.
